Picking proper picture viewer was definitely toughest task. Classic file browsers don't suit here like they do for audio or video - rather this one has to support browsing through picture thumbnails, slideshows and fullscreen operations. After many tries and failures, I settled with Gwenview although it is still far from perfect. Main window can't be stripped down of all "desktop" elements, key bindings are not optimal (entering folder and starting a slideshow should be possible with same key, but Gwenview thinks different) and on top of everything it is definitely not the fastest picture viewer. But it works. For now :)
